Made with 100% Cotton Canvas and faux suede bies. 13”w x 26”h At Casa Nortes we make seasonless future heirloom pieces made to order by a Rarámuri community in Northern Mexico. All our products are handmade in small runs, no inventory, no sizes, no excess, we produce only what we need. Working only as made-to-order, with only natural materials like 100% cotton, 100% linen and 100% silk, all of the pieces are handmade by a women-owned Raramuri workshop. We value our relationship with the community and have full price transparency with the artisans and the public working together to ensure they are paid fair wages for their work. Advised by a non-profit organization that works with indigenous communities throughout Mexico, we adhere to the principles of fair-trade production. Our focus is to attract income for an urban Rarámuri settlement that works to survive the harsh reality of displacement from their lands. The pieces we offer are inspired by their ancestral designs and techniques using a wider array of fabrics.
